Get the Net!

A nice Striper nears the boat

I have tried many times to capture this fleeting moment. At this point everything is moving quickly, the fish and the crew, there is a very small window of opportunity to compose focus and shoot. Blurred photographs have been the result of all of my previous attempts.

Kekiinani, the answer to your question is no, what appears to be teeth are the inside edges of the gill rakers. Stripers have no teeth, they swallow and digest baitfish whole.

Everyone else, thanks for your comments, I haven't had much time to comment on your blogs lately but I have been trying to keep up with posting.

I had to enlarge it to realise that I was looking at a very large mouth. Amazing!
As you said, this snap moment would be hard to catch. Well done!
