This evening my wife & I went for one of our summer evening Dinner Cruises.
Our dinner cruises begin with latching the boat trailer on behind the truck, stocking the cooler with sodas, water and ice. A stop along the way to pick up a pair of subs (know as hoagies around these parts) at Harr’s Grocery & Flea Market completes the preparations.
As we motor across the lake I typically wolf down my sub so I can begin fishing upon reaching the western shore but my sweet wife eats in a much more relaxed fashion relishing every bite of her tasty $3.50 12” sandwich.
A nice bass like this is reason enough for me to hurry my dinner

The way you wrote this post is magic. Your wife about to bite the hoagie and you with the biggest bass I have seen for a long time. It is just a magical post for me.

Are there mosquistos? I they are not plentiful, I can't think of anything more fun than a dinner cruise with my spouse. As for the sandwiches? To each his own!
While that's a fine looking bass, Salty, I'd much rather eat my hoagie like your wife....slow and easy. And leave the fishing to you.

Great catch! I'm female, yet I'd be the one rushing through my dinner so I could be fishing! In fact, I'd probably be fishing WHILE I ate my dinner ;-)
Now that looks like tons of fun. Well with the exception of the fish.. HA!!! I like my fish filet..not looking like a real fish!! :) :)
