Truck Crossing

Even here in rural Pennsylvania our country roads are becoming congested at times. We are an area of agriculture and heavy equipment manufacturing. The combination of trucks slowly crawling over the mountains along with the even slower agriculture equipment moving between farms and fields can make travel exasperating at times.

Yep we have the same situation here. My part of Oregon is surrounded by mountains and if we aren't on the freeway we have to follow these trucks slowly crawling up the mountains.

Luckily we do have occasional passing lanes

Funny! Yea... takes a while for a loaded truck to get up a hill.

It really gets interesting when buggy's get involved with large vehicles on these roads. We toured the area in our motorhome, and followed a few for a while before we could get around them.

The furniture we bought from them however was first rate!

What I love about this post is - in spite of the increasing traffic frustrations you write about - the glimpse of the deep green grass and gorgeous trees bordering the roads. Pennyslvania must be so beautiful, Salty! Here in Sacramento most grass turns a dull straw color in summer unless it's watered like crazy. The scenery in your photo, by contrast, is truly lush. How beautiful!!!

I see that crazy double yellow line and the truck blocking the rest of the view. It really can try one's patience. I guess the only way to survive is to look at that beautiful lush greenery.
