Last Leaf to Leave

With winter just around the corner, this single Maple Leaf tenaciously hangs on

I want to take this opportunity to thank all of you who visit Country Captures and in particular those who take time to post a comment. With a slow dial-up connection and my limited time I must apologize for not being able to get back to each of you frequently. I am pleased that many of you enjoy what you find here and I promise to keep fresh rural/wildlife photographs coming.

Good morning Salty
I have bombarded you with comments this morning playing catch up on your stunning posts. I felt like that leaf last week.. to weak to do anything I was.
Thank you for your nice comments and concern for me. Both Jane and I are pleased to have such friends.
I'm back up and about and will be blogging again soon.

Some of those darn leaves just don't know when to give it up! I know what dial up is all about...funny, now that I'm retired and enjoying a slower pace I have a faster broadband connection. Don't worry about return comments (tho I always like reading comments)...I just enjoy looking at your photos and reading your captions....and learning a thing or two.

Love the last leaf shot. Mr. Mapper has one similar to it. The solitary leaf just begs to be photographed.
Don't worry about the commenting. I love to get them but understand how time consuming it is. Your pictures ar too good to miss so do what you can when you can.
A Fan...Sue

Seems like a poem should accompany this picture. It says a lot, even without any words.

It seems like a lot of leaves are being tenacious this year, but most are not as pretty as this one!

I am glad to see these beautiful pictures. Even though I couldn't feel that life in person, I know it is in central PA, close to me. Thank you for sharing!

Last leaf. Nice photograph. It really is. My white oak is still covered with leaves going brown on me. Lots of them have fallen but there are a lot on there.

I will be surprised if I can ever catch it with just one last leaf like you did.
