I just love this one.
I'm a keen birder and often see nuthatches in the garden - but I didn't know they came in 'different shades'.

Interesting that we both published nuthatches today. Mine is a red-breasted nuthatch. I like your white.

Nice. He looks so cute. I'm not a bird fan. I think its something about their wing span and when they flap them it freaks me out. But to look at them...thats okay.

By the way have your wife check out my last 2 posts. There is a recipe there and a healthy one this time..."wink wink" Hope ya'lls Thanksgiving was super awesome. Have a greattt day!

Hey Salty: Aren't those little buggers just the cutest?! They frequent my feeder, but that kitchen window still isn't washed, so getting a photo from my kitchen isn't the greatest. I sure do appreciate your crisp, clear photos. Keep 'em coming.

WOW! That's a fantastic capture! I think I read somewhere that they're one of the few birds (maybe the only one?) that goes down trees headfirst. Perfect example of this behavior. And those thorns to the side - beautiful!
