This image came as somewhat of a surprise. While I was shooting a male Cardinal he turned and flew away. Upon reviewing my images I found I had captured this shot of his outstretched wing.
Nice shot. I used to spend hours just photographing birds flying in to the feeders. It opened up a whole new world of photography for me. I didn't realize a lot of birds fly with their wings folded tight, up against their sides, so they look like a speeding bullet.
Accidental photos always leave a uniqueness you never knew you could capture. At first I thought it was a fish in motion, then I read the caption, and looked closer to see the bird feet!
Ooooooh I love this one, I have been trying to get good cardinal pics for ages but the little devils are very elusive. I have even crouched at the corner of the house in 8 inches of snow for over half an hour waiting for one to re-appear with no luck!!!! Got too cold had to go back inside. I love this abstract look, can see it as a framed print.

Yes, cool indeed.
Ooooo, yes so cool!
That is neat! It almost looks like some type of sea life!
I hope that you and Mrs. Salty had a wonderful Christmas filled with love and joy. May the new year bring you both many blessings!
Sometimes it is the unexpected that really grabs us. Nice shot.
What a great surprise you had.
I agree with Lori, I thought it was sea life. Very cool shot indeed!

I agree, it's a stunner Salty.
I wasn't sure what that was and I wouldn't have known if you didn't say.
I posted a photo of my boys and grandson on my other blog if you wanna take a look.

Wow...I agree. That is one super abstract.
This reminds me of a beautiful photo of a woman dancing that I came across a few years ago. Amazing work.
