Whatisit

Can you guess what this Country Capture Mystery Photo is?

Here are a few clues;

1. It is all natural, in no way manmade.
2. The conditions that make such an image possible only exist for a short time
3. Shooting this image required a telephoto lens as I could not approach it closely

There you have it folks! Please leave a comment with your best guess :)

The ripples on the water from a duck that has just submerged beneath the surface.

This is a beautiful photo. I guess it must be ripples of water created by a water creature that has just submerged beneath the surface.

Hmmmm my first thought was a drain in a pond, we have a field that floods regularly and there is a field tile under the ground which regularly pulls the soil into the cracks in the tile/pipe and it and forms sink holes which the water runs into, sort of like a natural drain, but then you said it was not manmade so I am stumped.

Thanks for your visits and comments and I have to say your mocking bird is stunning with the red berries!!!! I love it.

Happy New Year.

Looks like you threw a pebble into a lake/pond and made a ripple.

Interesting!

I would think a pebble but I like the duck theory as well!

Maybe a rain drop magnified. Wonderful photo.

Is it a thin layer of ice on a pond that has been disturbed by a bird? I really don't know but I like the shot with the sky reflection and tones of blue and gray.

My 1st thought was a stone but on reflection I now go for a fish.

Great shot Salty and love the quiz too.
