Boot Scoot & Boogie

This pair of Canada Geese decided that I had approached too closely.

I discovered the geese on the creek that flows along our family farm. I approached them, camera at the ready, in hope of obtaining a good flushing capture.

Canon 30D, 100-400mm L, zoomed to 400mm, 1/125th sec, F5.6, ISO400.

I like the heads on the geese in this capture... I can imagine the noise as these took flight.

Salty: I love the geese in the area. This is a very powerful capture. You can almost hear them say "lets beat it out of here".

Your title reminded me of a boss I had from Texas. She loved to two step and called it boot scooting.
I like how you captured the geese in take off.

Wonderful capture. I came to comment on skywatch but had to comment on this one. This really shows the speed in which they come in for a landing. Stunning!
