The Last Rays of Sunlight

A beautiful glow lights a pastoral Pennsylvania landscape during the evening's golden hour

The showers that have been caressing our landscape daily are presenting us with some very dramatic skies. This evening I captured this scene only moments before the sun dipped below the horizon.

Following the sunset the western sky became quite beautiful as the last rays of daylight painted awesome colors upon the clouds, but that shot must wait until later.

Beautiful pastel skies. I began to notice 'the golden hour' when I was just a kid, but didn't know that it was called that, or what caused it, just that the light changed and everything became more beautiful.

You've certainly captured some beautiful light in this photo!

I love the landscape at this time of the day, I drive up to Glossop nearby and watch the colours reflected in the meadows.. no need for any wildlife when you can capture views of the countryside like this.

A magical photo. Ah, I miss the golden hour in America. In Israel there is intense sunlight or darkness, no nuances in between.
