SkyWatch Friday: Rainbow

I have shot a great many rainbow shots but so far none to my total satisfaction.

This image is my latest effort; still trying but not there yet.

For more Skywatch and to join in on the fun post your skywatch image then visit Tom and sign up on Mr. Linky.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Salty,
I sure do like that one. I like the contrast in the color of the hills and in the shades of grey in the clouds. I get the feeling this was a very large rainbow!

This is a perfect photo. Rainbows have their own magic. Happy SWF.

I've tried myself - but I think we're just supposed to capture the best we can and then enjoy the moment!
I think you did a great job and I like the bright spot in the corner.

I guess there wasn't a pot of gold; but I guess you wouldn't show a photo of that if there were one! :)

Unfortunately Tom is on bed rest today and for the first time you are stuck with me. I have my orders to visit as many as I can, and make sure the links are working and everyone is being good. I am sure you are all being good.
Tom and I thank you for Sky-Watching this week. I am sure that as soon as Tom's heart beat settles down he will be back here and visiting.

Rainbows are elusive. When you get a good one, it's almost as if it decided it was OK that time. This is beautiful, even if you don't think you are there yet. I'm sure I could have done not as well!

Hi Salty! I think its perfect. I was able to get a picture of a rainbow last week, but it is no where near as good as yours. I think its beautiful. Lisa

I like the bands of darker clouds across the top third of the picture. It really creates a mood.

I love your rainbow. I think that the darker sky as background makes the colors stand out more vividly.

The angle of this rainbow is most unusual. Methinks it will be very tall but not very far across. You have captured it very nicely. I do like ...
