Quick Move: Red-breasted Merganser Hens


I first noticed these Red-breasted Merganser hens flying towards me apparently intending to land near the boat. With a bass tournament underway they had numerous boats to contend with and apparently had not noticed mine.

Once on the water they quickly spied me and immediately took flight, leaving me with this unique image of them as they ran frantically across the water.

What a unique photo... It really does look as if they are running across the top of the water!! Almost like a cartoon! Very neat!

Wow! neat photo!! The poor gal in front looks like she is going so fast that she is ahead of herself! She looks rather strange with that pointy looking head and feet running faster than lightning!! lol...debbie

Even if it is the only one you got, it is pretty dynamic and I think better than if they were just not moving at all. I like it!
