Brothers: Then & Now

Mom wasn’t paying any attention to the background when she set her little boys up for a photograph in front of the family outhouse in 1956.

Fifty three years later the background was very much on my mind when I set up this self-timer shot of Willard & me checking out the wildflowers along Virginia’s scenic Skyline Drive.

LOL, this is a great post, Coy. I wouldn't have even noticed the outhouse if you hadn't mentioned it though.

It's been years since I have been on Skyline Drive. The flowers are beautiful. :)

Fun post! I really enjoy old photos, and this one is very cute. I don't think people really thought too much about the background in their shots then. I think the camera was still a little bit magic and they were just happy to be able to take photos of their family. And give Mom credit. She caught happy faces on both of you and also the loving look from big brother to his baby brother. I don't think the background matters at all.

Neat. I like the outhouse in the background. That was life then and still is some places.

I have the issue of "breast feeding" on my main blog today Pick a Peck of Pixels
