A nice Striper nears the boat
I have tried many times to capture this fleeting moment. At this point everything is moving quickly, the fish and the crew, there is a very small window of opportunity to compose focus and shoot. Blurred photographs have been the result of all of my previous attempts.
Cool shot.
ReplyDeleteWow! Awesome pic, Salty!!
ReplyDeleteWow thats a great shot Salty. You reallycaptured the catch perfectly. Looks like a shot for Field and Stream.
ReplyDeleteWhoooooooaaaa!!! Now that is unreal. Are those teeth in there... Great shot :) :)
ReplyDeleteKekiinani, the answer to your question is no, what appears to be teeth are the inside edges of the gill rakers. Stripers have no teeth, they swallow and digest baitfish whole.
ReplyDeleteEveryone else, thanks for your comments, I haven't had much time to comment on your blogs lately but I have been trying to keep up with posting.
I had to enlarge it to realise that I was looking at a very large mouth. Amazing!
ReplyDeleteAs you said, this snap moment would be hard to catch. Well done!
Nice shot. I was directed here by your son. Another PA resident.
ReplyDeleteGood one! Keep trying... practice makes perfect. I love seeing action shots.
