While on our Blogger Family Photoshoot I noticed Amy shooting some ferns whose fronds had begun to change colors. After she finished I took my turn shooting and selected this single backlit frond.
So simple! My shots turned out to be too cluttered, too much "stuff" in them. I have three or four shots of that same frond, but there's all sorts of other woodland items in the way. I love that the background in yours is thrown out of focus. This is perfect!
Great composition Salty. I love the angle an the backlighting is perfect. Thanks so much for your compliment on my posting the other day. Its so appreciated, especially coming from an accomplished photographer like yourself. I think I will stay as photowannabe because I really wannabe getting better all the time with my photos. Of course you never see the bombs I've taken.

ReplyDeleteI agree with Ash about the background. Well done and NIce detail.
ReplyDeleteAll of you captured beautifully Salty :)
ReplyDeleteBackgrounds sometimes work and sometimes don't. This one is really nice without the details of the background.
ReplyDeleteI love the fern picture and it will be showing up in my greeting cards soon!

I was also reminded of lacework by this superb picture. It is made all the better for the darkness of the back ground.
