I have shot a great many rainbow shots but so far none to my total satisfaction.
This image is my latest effort; still trying but not there yet.

Salty,
ReplyDeleteI sure do like that one. I like the contrast in the color of the hills and in the shades of grey in the clouds. I get the feeling this was a very large rainbow!
these are hard to catch, but you did a great job. and besides that, just think about the pure beauty of a rainbow! great!
ReplyDeleteWonderful photo, great rainbow.
ReplyDeleteGreat catch! That is a beautiful rainbow.
ReplyDeleteThis one turned out really nice. It's hard to capture those rainbows.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty rainbow! I'm always happy when I see one.
ReplyDeleteThis is a perfect photo. Rainbows have their own magic. Happy SWF.
ReplyDeleteI've tried myself - but I think we're just supposed to capture the best we can and then enjoy the moment!
ReplyDeleteI think you did a great job and I like the bright spot in the corner.
I guess there wasn't a pot of gold; but I guess you wouldn't show a photo of that if there were one! :)
It's been a while since I've seen a rainbow - thanks!
ReplyDeleteAs I said to blue, rainbows 've still yet capture so well. Lovely arc and colours.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog Salty, I know whenever I see a rainbow everything is gonna be alright.
ReplyDeleteI have captured a rainbow over guilin before :D
This is lovely Salty!
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately Tom is on bed rest today and for the first time you are stuck with me. I have my orders to visit as many as I can, and make sure the links are working and everyone is being good. I am sure you are all being good.
ReplyDeleteTom and I thank you for Sky-Watching this week. I am sure that as soon as Tom's heart beat settles down he will be back here and visiting.
JANE
Rainbows are elusive. When you get a good one, it's almost as if it decided it was OK that time. This is beautiful, even if you don't think you are there yet. I'm sure I could have done not as well!
ReplyDeleteWhat a subtle rainbow --very nice...
ReplyDeleteYou sure have great photos here.
Hope you are having a great Sky Watch Friday!
Best regards, Don
Salty: Lovely rainbow in the Sky, really nice SWF.
ReplyDeleteGreat work Salty.
ReplyDeleteRainbows are so hard to capture well but I think you have done a fine job of it! Happy SkyWatch!
ReplyDeleteMy SkyWatch Here
Hi Salty! I think its perfect. I was able to get a picture of a rainbow last week, but it is no where near as good as yours. I think its beautiful. Lisa
ReplyDeleteI like the bands of darker clouds across the top third of the picture. It really creates a mood.
ReplyDeleteI love your rainbow. I think that the darker sky as background makes the colors stand out more vividly.
ReplyDeletemarvellous!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful.
ReplyDeleteThe angle of this rainbow is most unusual. Methinks it will be very tall but not very far across. You have captured it very nicely. I do like ...
ReplyDeleteNice rainbow. Is there a pot of gold at the end?
ReplyDeleteNice rainbow picture. thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteHi Salty...
ReplyDeleteBetter late than never my friend.. great rainbow. I'm back on my feet and getting back into the blogs... thanks for your visits and comments.
