Tuesday we Americans will go to the polls to elect our new president. Polls indicate that as the votes are counted the electoral map will become nearly as blue as the blue sky behind this Bald Eagle.
I apologize for the low quality of this image. I have yet to have a close photo encounter with an eagle.

VOTEING is SO Important...
ReplyDeleteThe composition is excellent.
ReplyDeleteI have already sent in my absentee ballot.
Happy halloween.
I love the power in this shot.
ReplyDeleteThere is power at the polls too. Already absentee voted.
Very majestic shot
ReplyDeletePA and FL are two of the primary battleground states. It's been a long campaign. The eagle almost looks like a stamp on a blue envelope.
ReplyDeleteOh my! No don't apologize for your photo! I have not yet seen an eagle in flight! Thanks for sharing this shot!

I still haven't got a good photo of an eagle either. This one looks pretty good to me though.
ReplyDeletegreat post and I have already voted....
ReplyDeleteGreat shot for SWF. Well composed. I would love to have a close photo encounter with an eagle too. Keep up the good work and one day you will have one.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend, Salty
Wow. Just Wow. Love the photo. Amazing. Happy SWF.
ReplyDeleteI like the eagle. Ben Franklin thought it should be a turkey. I am sorta in agreement with him on that, or if I could I would choose one of our presidents. If anyone could fly, it would be President Bush who gets blamed for everything.
ReplyDeleteI am glad this Halloween is past. Not to wish my life away but I felt sorry for the little legs and cold feet who trudged half a mile, or more, to our house only to discover the light was off and no treats this year, thanks to George W. Bush.
No need to apologize Salty, it is still a very nive photograph. I don't know if you and Willard are aware of this place or not but in Hartford County, Maryland there is the Conowingo Dam. I learned about it from Marty Stouffer. Eagles populate this area from November through February with as many as 30-40 at a time. There is also many other birds present. I did go once last year but it was a very cold and windy day, I photographed a few imature eagles, but my panning skills leave a bit to be desired.
ReplyDeleteBlue is my favorite color!

wonderful shot of the eagle soaring overhead - a good reminder of our freedoms.
ReplyDeleteExcellent shot...
ReplyDeleteHi Salty, great shot you have.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful picture. One of those where less is more.
ReplyDeleteIt's a gorgeous photo! I've never been lucky enough to get a closer one either. We have a pair that live along the Clarion River, but I've only caught them flying overhead.
ReplyDeleteYou're right about the vote. It's very important to have a voice in the direction our country will go in the next four years.
Salty: Great capture of the Eagle, I saw one about 2 mile from home and couldn't capture him as he moved out of range.
