Cedar Waxwing

A Cedar Waxwing poses for its Camera Critters Portrait

Although common in our area the Waxwings are not frequently seen. In this case a small flock was perched in the branches of a dead Lombardy Poplar and allowed my wife & I to walk by on an evening stroll. Little did the bird know that soon its image would be seen around the world.

  1. That's a beautiful shot of the Waxwing. They're a pretty fun bird to watch. Around here, they are quite bold, and not too bothered by people.

  3. I had several come in this winter. One sat and posed for several pictures. My husband really likes the cocky attitude of the Cedar Waxwing.

  6. I admire this bird on other blogs but have never seen on in person. I wouldn't know where to look that would be different from where I already look. Nice shot.

You probably don't remember when people lived and died at home and endured wakes. I wrote about it here. http://bing-it.blogspot.com/
