The calendar declares a precise date for the beginning of Autumn but in the natural world the change begins slowly with a spot of colored foliage here and another there. At first if one does not look closely the small hints can be missed altogether.
A single backlit red leaf shows off glows crimson red in the bright morning sun.
The fall colors in Denali has just about ended. Neat thing is as I travel home I can follow them. Nice selection of images. Blue Skies.
ReplyDeleteI am always amused to think that mankind will decide when fall arrives.God must be smiling as He drops these spots of color everywhere, before the calendar says fall.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,Ruth
that is cool
ReplyDeletedoes anyone see the face in the red leaf?
some of the leaves here are just falling to the ground :(
Yep the fall is coming, slowly but surely. Here it is rather quick, we will get these colors for two-three weeks and then the leaves will be gone!
ReplyDeleteLove the red leaf. Fall is fast approaching. Nice work, Coy.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful backlit leaves. I love this time of year. Its a photographer's paradise.
ReplyDeleteWonderful fall studies! We are well into fall here but we are having lovely weather. So far only a mild frost in August, and no killing frost yet.
