Taking a break from the Whitetail Rut I decided to spend some time on the lake Saturday afternoon. Late in the afternoon I noticed a solitary loon swimming in circles, diving, and rising up to shake off repeatedly. Attempting to bring the boat within camera range the loon dived before I could get close enough for a good portrait but not before I was able to capture a few images.
That doesn't look so good.
ReplyDeleteHi Coy,
ReplyDeleteYeh that does not look good at all. I'm not sure he is gonna make it! His jaw is quite damaged!! Well let's cross the fingers!
That poor thing. It just makes me cringe. Now I wonder how in the world that happened ??
ReplyDeletePoor Critter, I hope it recovers too Coy.Great shot.
ReplyDeletePoor little thing. I wonder if he got tangled in some kind of fencing or with another animal? But I think he's going to make it!
ReplyDeleteoh gosh.....poor thing. I cringe just looking at it. Would be nice if some rehabbers could capture it, but that's unlikely I assume.
ReplyDeleteHard to see that. So sad. I don't think he will make it with that injury either.
