Lovely series of shots and good captions. I posted some wild turkey shots today too that I took in western Montana in early October while we were on our roadtrip. There was snow on the ground so not as pretty a background as yours. I imagine it was the Western Turkey instead of the Eastern, but my bird book doesn't really show a difference.
They sure are great birds to see in the wild. I've always enjoyed seeing them, when it's possible. I even tried hunting them years ago, but never did get one. They are a very alert wild bird. If you do get one, you had to earn it!
