Tired of Whitetails yet? I imagine so for I well realize not everyone is as infatuated with them as I. With the rut over and the rifle hunting season underway I know its time for a change. For over two months I have been primarily focusing my lens on elk, deer, and wild turkeys.
With wintry weather setting in my attention is beginning to turn towards winter bird photography.

He certainly is handsome. Cardinals are so pretty, but especially against a snowy backdrop. Sometimes thats the only color in my yard, come January.
ReplyDeleteOh yes that's a change... But there is something that does not change Coy, the high quality of the pictures! Well done, it is a gorgeous shot.
ReplyDeleteAs you know, I could never tire of Whitetail photos. I do love Cardinals though, as they were my grandmother's (she raised me) favorite bird.
ReplyDeleteSupurb shot!
ReplyDeleteYou got this cardinal just right. Not easy sometimes.
ReplyDeleteThey sure are pretty birds to see every time. I've tried to shoot one of these Cardinals around here, but they are just too fast and don't stay in one place very long.

I'm always amazed how a bird can be such a bright red. Lovely.
ReplyDeleteNice cardinal! The red really pops in the winter!
ReplyDeleteI have the same infatuation...I am also rerouting my photography towards the birds!
I certainly am not tired of your white tail and elk photos! I've just recently become a follower of your blog and I have to say that I enjoy all of your photography. In fact you actually inspired me to photograph Elk for the first time yesterday and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Maybe you would be interested in taking a look at them on my blog....just remember I'm an amatuer, so mine won't be any where near as good as yours!
ReplyDeleteOH and by the way I love your cardinal...it is beautiful and I love the flowers and stems in the background, they really are an enhancement to the picture. Love the composition too!
