Nature's Clean-up Crew

After being away for a few months vultures are again circling our skies

Turkey Vulture

Vultures provide a valuable service cleaning up carion.  They are important players in nature's endless recycling system.

    They do have a service to provide. I love seeing a Turkey Vulture soar in the sky. Those wings are so beautiful.

    Here in FL you hardly ever see an animal carcass lying on the side of the road without seeing several vultures ...and then it is gone.

    Nice shots! We're currently over run with turkey vultures in one part of the county. There's so many of them roosting in this particular spot that it made the news.
