Birds of Winter

With autumn nearly past and winter just around the corner it's time to settle down at your favorite bird-feeder photo studio and shoot the "Birds of Winter".

  5. All three beautiful photos! I had to chuckle though at your intro, "With autumn nearly past and winter just around the corner..." Officially the first day of winter is Friday, but it marks our shortest day here and we take heart that the days begin to get longer. Oh, and we're in a warming trend, maybe up to 15 below by the weekend. The sparrows and juncos are our summer birds--no cardinals. The bird feeder is my best chance of bird photos though, unless I decide to stalk a raven or two. It is nice to see the perky little junco enjoying its winter home.
