The glaze of ice left by the freezing rain on Friday sure made for interesting photography. As I looked into the woods, I saw ice clinging to every tree and branch...quite a site!
Hi Salty Great Country Capture. I have said on a few blogs that I visit that icicles are a thing of the past around these parts. I was a child when I last saw a proper deep freeze as this picture show.
I hope I get to see another one before my time here is up. ha!
the icicles look like a bead fringe on the sign. Realy nice but i think its too cold for me. We did have a bit of frost this morning but it was gone in a blink.
The only icicles we've had this year are the ones hanging below the bumpers of our cars! I remember as a kid, we used to have them as long as daggers, hanging from the rooflines. My dad would knock them all down before we kids would play outside, so we didn't use them as weapons! heehee
Thank you for taking the time to comment. I appreciate the visits and comments as long as the comments are respectful of others views and contain no profanity.
I felt the chill Salty :)
ReplyDeleteI bet that was a sight to see! I like the sign picture.
ReplyDeleteHaven't seen anything like that in person for years! Love it.

ReplyDeleteI think I took several hundred photos when we had our ice storm - I love digital!
ReplyDeleteThis shot really caught my eye. I don't know if it's the dark brown sign with the trees or the ice, but I like it alot.
