A pair of starlings sitting in a tree caught my attention for a moment this evening. As I have been focusing on the waterfowl migrations lately my supply of new sky images is sadly lacking. With this in mind I headed out intent upon capturing an image for this Sky Watch post. Of course I needed to include birds in the composition.

You seem to be able to make a good picture out of just about anything. Good job
ReplyDeletenice capture of the starlings...
ReplyDeletehave a great weekend.
I think it is a good photo!! Starlings are pretty birds, unless there are too many of them!
ReplyDeleteI wonder if they were making a lot of noise. I pass some daily on the way to and from my daughter's school, and they (along with some grackles, I think) make quite a racket. I like hearing them, though.
ReplyDeleteLooks like they have fairly similar poses. What could they be looking at?
ReplyDeleteOne thing positive about the starlings, they do have pretty feathers - other than that they are a pain - they come in and try to eat all my feed - they come in mass and won't share...debbie
ReplyDeleteThe plumage of the starlings show really well contrasted to the sky.
ReplyDeleteSalty: Neat capture of the starlings, they do have neat colors in the sun.
ReplyDeleteBirds in combo with the sky is always a good way to go. :)
ReplyDeleteThese are underated birds I think Salty... I love the colouring when seen at close quarters... and I enjoy listening to them mimicing other birds or a ringing phone...
ReplyDeleteAs a Sky Watch shot this is picture perfect.
Happy Easter to you and yours..
Tom
This makes for a great Sky watch photo. The bare branches, the Starlings, a few wisps of clouds. Good job!
ReplyDeleteThe birds really make the shot, it would just be a few sticks without them, happy SWF!
ReplyDeleteHow pretty and peaceful :) Great post :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sky and sparkling birds! But your sky watch last wekk of the storm over the Veterans Memorial Bridge is a great catch!
ReplyDeleteNothing like a spot of companion sitting and checking out the swinging scene.
