I love trips through the mountains when you see the fog rise - it is magical for me. I've seen three fog shots so far - must have been the weather this week. :) Rose mentions Tennessee and I'm thinking those Smokey Mountains.
Nice moody capture in difficult circumstances, the variation between the shadows and highlights is hard to balance. Makes me feel I am standing on the top of the world LOL.

This reminds me of home in Tennessee when growing up..after a rain it was like this lots of times.

Nice feel to your sky image. I also used to shoot a minotla 101 then x700 and now I use a canon 5d. and like you am rediscovering my phography.
