A young Raccoon licks it lips nervously
My wife had quite a surprise while walking to our mail box this morning. In a small maple tree, near our dog’s house, a pair of young raccoons were perched on a limb. Our geriatric old beagle, Sparky, was asleep in his house oblivious to his visitors overhead.
I checked a few minutes ago and they are still there although it has been dark for over three hours. I expect they will leave during the night and I hope them well. Thanks to their daytime visit I have some “Masked Bandit” shots to share with you.

A beautiful picture Coy. These are such beautiful creatures although I believe they can be vicious at times. I hope Mrs recuperated from her shock. :)
Another great shot Salty, I have only ever seen them at night so I have never photographed them. It has been a great week of critter post for you.

Sure understnad an old dog not beign aware...our eldest is 13 and he misses a lot

the New Mom dog however does not miss a beat

we have racoons here, they sure love CAT FOOD, much to the chagrin of the cats ;)

Oh my gosh this is just the cutest image I have ever seen. WOW... it really makes me smile. :) :)
