Outdoor Blogger Summit
Did the title catch your attention?
Politicians frequently use the term “Summit” for their meetings after which we see no results. Could it be the term is a cover for the “boys” getting together for a good time at the taxpayers expense?
This time it’s no cover, it truly was a “Summit” as I met up with my brother Willard of “Pennsylvania Wildlife Photographer” and Brad Myers of “Brad Myers Photo Blog” for a morning photo shoot on the summit of the Blue Ridge Mountains at the Big Meadows visitor center in beautiful Shenandoah National Park.
There were plenty of Whitetails available but most were busy feeding in anticipation of the arrival of tropical storm Ida. Rutting activity was nearly nonexistent which greatly limited the visibility of the large whitetail bucks that SNP is famous for.

Fantastic shot! I just returned from a very non-productive trip to Benezette... wish I had your luck!
Wow! that is a good looking crew, LOL. Like I said before it was great meeting you and I hope we get many more chances to photograph wildlife again. That was just the first of many trips to SNP in the future.
That was my first piebald and also a highlight for me.
Great shot!
The title is catchy!! ;)
Great shots, all we need are more members at the summit meeting.
Love your title and that you had a chance to meet another fellow blogger. That must have been a good time.
I have never seen a deer like that one. How unusual.
Great shot Coy and in good company I guess. Wonderful to share passion with others!
I hope that you guy's had some great fun. Wish I could afford some of that equipment or Lens. That Buck you have, is a bit different. Never seen anything quite like him.

What an oddlly marked deer! Pinto like markings. Nice shot of him.
Interesting markings on that deer. I've been catching up on your shots over the last several days. You've gotten some gorgeous captures!
Interesting looking piebald deer! Can't say I've ever seen one before. Glad to know you and your summit buddies enjoy a comraderie as well as a love of photography. I've seen Willard's photos, I'll have to check out Brad's. We are so fortunate to have such great photo ops in the great state of PA.
