At the outset of a recent Shenandoah National Park visit a good whitetail buck situated himself perfectly against the early morning sky.
I have been focusing upon the whitetail rut for the past three weeks. Soon it will pass but the images and memories of another great season will live on.

Coy: What a great rack in the sky, I'm sure someone would be pleased to get that one.

Very nice, the picture works perfectly.
Lovely buck..or I guess I should say handsome buck..I was wondering if the rut will be over soon as I think the chance of hitting deer goes down significantly.. You are too far away from western NY...Michelle
Lovely shot. With the help of your blog and pictures we will all carry some of these memories with us.
Wow! Beautiful shot! I love how the clouds mimic the outline of his face and nose and the pink color in the sky is gorgeous!
