While driving a snow covered back road a tiny stream rimmed in ice caught my attention. Thinking that perhaps I could do something creative with it I attached a Tiffen 0.9 neutral density filter to the lens, grabbed the tripod and waded through the snow to the little brook.

I am one who is always ready for spring, just as soon as the holidays are past, but this year I have resolved to enjoy winter and to celebrate its unique beauty.

I think this is winter at it's best. The ice formations on the side are so delicate.

...I love the soft look of the water. I want to learn how to do this. Thanks for posting your settings. Winter does have incredible beauty--as long as you have on a hat, coat, gloves and boots! I spent a good deal of time out in the snow yesterday and today. I was gorgeous.
This is a great shot. I've always like the photos where the shutter speed is slowed to showed soft blurring of the water moving. Nice work.
A nice Image, Coy. I'm told that you can edit most any type of waterfall, using my Paint Shop Pro X2. Was out this morning with my Camera, but it was just too darn cold for me. Didn't get any shots. I was freezing!
Love the capture! I am also trying to enjoy every minute - rain, snow or shine :)
I even stated on my Facebook page "OK, the holiday are over. Now can we just skip to spring?" So, I can relate. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to 'enjoy' winter yet, but I'm going to try to force myself this weekend.
