Shooting together with photographer friends is an enjoyable part of shooting the Pennsylvania elk rut. Shrouded in fog Willard and Dick stand by their camera awaiting the next elk action.
While working a bull together I take a moment to back off and snap Brad peering into the viewfinder as a nice bull feeds along the ridge top.
Clearing skies provided a gorgeous backdrop as Willard and Brad work from the crest of a ridge.
Wet and weary, the gang heads for the cars as daylight fades into darkness

I love the first photo It is so gray and mysterious. I made my first trip through wild Pennsylvania a few weeks ago. We saw a bear but no elk

This is so true and a huge part of what makes it so enjoyable!
Great time as always, and I am hoping we get to shoot again soon at SNP for the whitetail rut. I really think I enjoy the great people more than the Elk experience.

Coy, thanks for the photos of photographers. When we spend our time behind a camera we almost never get our picture taken! What a great morning that was as the fog lifted to spectacular lighting.
