There are two species of crow that inhabit the eastern US, America Crows and Fish Crows. Since I am more concerned with photography than with birding I will not attempt to identify which species I captured in these photos.
I will say that I have found crows to be exceedingly difficult birds to photograph. The crow's all black coloration coupled with a black eye makes it very difficult to capture eye detail.
They're both really nice! Such a clever bird.
As they're best differentiated by voice, a photo won't likely do it anyway! :D
Those are fantastic shots! Nice lighting. Usually crow photos are just a black blob.
Good work! Crows are very hard to photograph. Here our most common bird is the crow's larger cousin, the raven. I've taken lots of photos of them, and getting any feather definition or visible eye is not easy. I've had some good successes, but am always trying to do just a bit better.
Nice images of the Crow. Is he yelling at you? :-)
