Strutting is all about the hens. Gobblers don't gobble and strut to impress or intimidate other gobblers, they strut to attract the hens. Here a pair of jakes put their colors on display trying to gain the attention of the hen feeding in the foreground.
And this mature gobbler looks to be trying out his latest break dancing move; getting down for the girls.

Those turkey gobblers sure are peacocking around. Fantastic colours and shimmer on the feathers. Great to see them displaying in their full mating plumage.

Oh, yeah, Ben Franklin was right. The red, white, and blue turkey should have been our national bird. That last photo is exquisite!

Mona, yes, EOS 60D. These shots were captured with it and the Canon 600 F4 IS lens.
I've been lucky enough to get great looks at gobblers lately but wow, if I could only get as close as you! These are fantastic!
