After a week of cold temperatures the weather moderated with an incoming snow storm Friday afternoon. By Saturday morning the storm had dwindled to flurries and the deer were actively feeding in the woodland.
Deer utilize many types of forage and during winter browse is high on their agenda.
By late morning the deer had finished feeding

Beautiful images. And, what a sweet face in that last image.
Awesome pictures like normal Coy! Either the midwest deer are big or looks like two young siblings there...awesome photos!
Nice pictures of the small Der Coy.
I can see that you have a great winter at your place.

Tyni,
In the photos where two deer are present they are of a fawn and an adult doe. I don't expect that our deer are as large as what you are accustomed to. Our mature does usually weigh between 100 and 120 lbs. I have noticed a considerable size difference between our local deer and the ones in Shenandoah National Park VA where the deer are considerably larger.
Hi Coy!!
Beautiful pictures...they have really thick fur so they will be warm.
