Once again its the time of year when one of the greatest wildlife shows Pennsylvania has to offer is occurring, the Pennsylvania Elk Rut. Fortunately some great viewing opportunities occur on public lands or lands open to the public and many are able to enjoy incredible wildlife viewing encounters.I arrived in the tiny hamlet of Benezette after the morning elk activity had subsided Tuesday and had only limited photographic success that evening.

You take some Awesome shots,
hearing a Elk bugle is something too hear!
thanks for sharing.
Great, quality photos in your limited time there. Too bad we didn't get to meet up this year.
Amazing photos. The Elk are so beautiful and massive.
It's good to see you're back posting, I missed your beautiful photos. It seemed hard to find elk this year, which I attributed to the lack of rain and that the vegetation in many fields was already dried out. But, you found a goodly number of bulls -- well done.
