50 Years and Counting

Fifty years ago a young couple stood in front of a young minister and took the vows of Holy Matrimony.

Saturday, they once again stood in front of the same minister, now retired, and renewed their sacred vows.

Congratulations to your Aunt and Uncle. Its an accomplishment and I think its extra special to have the same minister be there for their renewal of vows.

Pass our congratulations along to your Aunt and Uncle. Tell them that we have been married for 53 years and still feel like newlyweds (not). LOL

Nice post. I enjoy seeing older photos like this one and people married a half century or longer are rare these days.

ALso, I don't know if you are interested or not or if you have ever seen a Pileated Woodpecker, but I posted one on My Birds Blog this morning. It is our largest woodpecker and this is the first one I have seen here in 46 years.
