Sky Watch: Golden Dawn

From a high mountain overlook I watch the glorious golden sunrise

No two dawns are alike just as no two sunsets are identical. I treasure the moment when I have the opportunity to greet the dawn from a scenic spot for most dawns pass me by unnoticed while I am busy at work; working in a small office without so much as a window

I hope you're able to sneak regular peaks of your blog at work - the next best thing to having a window. This sunrise is magnificent - I'm glad I stopped by to see it.

Such a glorious gift of nature! While I may not be in a windowless office, I also do not witness enough sunrises. But, I certainly do appreciate their beauty. Gorgeous capture, Salty! Thanks for your reply about the quail. I will try my best to get some photos of them.

Catching a dawn is definitely more ambitious its twin at dusk ... especially up there were the mornings are crisp and getting crisper.

A great shot Salty, hopefully with the weekend approaching you can get out of your office and into the outdoors.

Great shot, just think of everything that you can do and explore if you were there at the beginning of a new day.

That's beautiful and makes you realize why they refer to "sunny side up" eggs :-) A golden ball sizzling on top of the mountains.

Love the colour seeping into the valley, and making a halo below the sun in the dark clouds.

The point of view for this sunrise is wonderful.

I am sorry you miss most due to work. Not even a window. That shouldn't be allowed!

Below I really enjoyed your Ruffed Grouse photo. It is so well-camouflaged, I am not sure how you spotted it.
