Apple trees are a great place to find whitetails during the late summer and into early autumn as they feast upon the fallen fruit.
I encountered this buck during a recent visit to Shenandoah National Park. Being acclimated to humans the buck was toatlly unconcerned by my presence and allowed me to photograph him as he fed on the freshly fallen apples.

Great capture.
Great shot! A lovely buck. It must be a real treat for them to find apples like that
Wow great shot!
The ones that visit my yard not only feed on the fallen but anything within the reach of their mouths. :)
This is a terrific capture Coy.

Gorgeous closeup.
The deer that feed on our ornamental crabapples in the winter are very acrobatic. They stand on their hind legs and eat right off the higher branches.

Fabulous photo! You really caught the action just right - Wow, a whole apple. That's truly a mouthful! I envy how close you can get to these beautiful creatures.
Beautiful shot! we have whitetails here too, and I see them frequently...but not quite this up close and personal!
Great shot! I enjoyed watching the deer eating the apples when we were at our friends' place near Missoula, Montana, last fall. They do really enjoy them. We are in PA right now, and we're hoping to be able to catch some of the elk rut sometime in the next few weeks. My lens won't reach as far as yours, and I don't have your patience or skills, but hopefully I'll get some acceptable shots.
WOW! Just gorgeous! I seem to have that same comment over and over when it comes to your photos. :)
Wow that makes me wish I had an apple tree. The neighbors across the lane have a pear tree and evidently the deer love that fruit as well, though I have never seen them partake...yet. Have a great week ahead Coy~
You captured a priceless expression!
Outstanding photo, Coy!
